About

Nice to meet you!

I am first and foremost an advocate for users, customers, and audiences. In my research, I mix methods, approaches, and data sources in order to tell data-driven stories to drive UX strategy that leads to real-world impact.

I have expertise in both quantitative survey design and analysis as well as qualitative methods, with a focus on ethnography and in-depth interviews. I have worked closely with diverse client teams such as the National Institute of Health (NIH), Janssen, Providence, PhRMA, and MITRE to deeply understand and design solutions for their users, customers, and patients. My deepest experience has focused within the field of health and medicine, especially patient experience and marketing, and I look forward to diving into new industries to apply these methodologies and utilize these principles to make an  impact across fields.

I hold a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California, San Diego with a minor in History. My academic research focused on “heritage activism,” which involves learning how people’s consideration of themselves as parts of history inspires and charges their political activity. Basically, I love to learn why people do what they do!

I currently live in Tullamore, Ireland with my husband and a reformed street cat named Barney. Outside of work, you can find me exploring haunted castles and forests, reading Tarot, and tasting whiskeys from around the world.
